Brooks England have been in the business of making saddles for well over a century. J B Brooks’ innovative design for a leather bicycle saddle was filed with the Patent Office in 1882 and since, they have established themselves as the benchmark of comfort, style, and quality, and thus the byword in saddles for travelling cyclists.

Today, the Smethwick factory is situated only a few miles from J B Brooks’ original premises. There, skilled employees continue to craft saddles using traditional techniques and machinery, some of which have been hard at work since the 1940’s.
