…with their initial plans for an east-west traverse of the Sierras burning down time-and-time-again in wildfires that are striking the American West more and more, the four friends opted for a 300KM bikepacking route that linked up Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. A route that took the four of them upwards, further into untamed country where road became trail – setting them up for 50KM of hike-a-bike through the stunning Sierras and flamed-forest devastation. With a nod that it was safe, the ride was on! They took off to experience a ride and hike that some might call downright insanity…
